NOLENIA is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our adventures. This means we decide why and how your data is processed and are responsible for protecting it.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email address, sign-in provider identifier) — to create your account and unlock purchases. Legal basis: contract.
• Purchase and gift records (product, order reference, gift recipient email and optional name) — to grant access, deliver gift codes and handle refunds. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Optional saved journeys (story choices and optional first names you type in) — only if you choose to save to your account, so you can resume. Legal basis: consent / contract. Device saves stay on your device.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and keeping the Service working. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

We do not track children's gameplay, show ads, or sell personal data.

Who we share data with

• Service providers that host and run the Service (hosting, database, authentication, email delivery).
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of products, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle processes payment details under its own privacy policy.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Retention

We keep account and saved-journey data while your account is active and delete it when you ask or close your account. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Email hello@nolenia.com; we respond within one month.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and owner-only access to saved journeys.

Cookies and storage

We use only essential storage needed for sign-in and, if you opt in, saving your journey on your device. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.
